Last month, Roblox announced the ability for Creators uploading content to the Avatar Marketplace to publish Limited items, items that have a Limited quantity and can be resold after a 30-day holding period. Since the release of UGC Limiteds, many users have noticed a trend in items, especially free items, selling out in a matter of seconds due to bots or “snipe” accounts buying up all of the stock. Some people have gone as far as to create extensions that can quickly pick up UGC Limited items.

Recently discovered within the Roblox backend, new code hints that UGC Creators will soon be able to combat this issue by setting a quantity limit on how many instances of a Limited item a user can purchase. The exact maximum/minimum limit of copies is currently unknown. This news article will be updated as more information comes in.
