Roblox is Now Available on Meta Quest
Roblox is now natively available in beta on the Quest Store and accessible on Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro devices via AppLab.
Starting today, the Roblox Open Beta is available through Meta App Lab and is still in development. The Roblox Open Beta on App Lab is a vital time for Roblox developers to experiment, learn, and iterate on their VR experiences before Roblox is ready for full release on the Meta Quest Store. Please note, the Open Beta will only support Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro devices.
To install the Open Beta, you’ll need to follow these steps:
- Make sure your Meta Quest device is up to date 75 (Roblox requires v55 or higher of Meta Quest software).
- Search for “Roblox” in the Quest Store and install it from there or download it directly from the Quest Store.
- Start Roblox on your Quest device.
- Sign in to your existing Roblox account using the Quick Login option on your computer or phone. (At this time, account creation and password sign in on Meta Quest devices is not supported.)
Roblox VR uses OpenXR as a backend for all VR devices. That means the implementation is platform agnostic, allowing experiences to work interchangeably on Quest and PC VR headsets. Before you start developing experiences for VR, check out the documentation.
As this is considered an Open Beta, there are a few known issues and improvements that Roblox are actively working on. View the full list on the Forum.
